**Did You Know How Green Wal-Mart Is?

I am currently working on a case-study for my Sustainability Management course, where I need to recommend solutions to another major chain/corporation of my choice with ways for them to operate more sustainably. My recommendations need to be modeled after Wal-Mart, since they have been undergoing major changes since 2005 to accomplish their goal of being supplied 100% by renewable resources.

And by 100%, I don’t just mean their lighting and solar panels and fuel efficiency.

They even mandate their product suppliers to either be producing products sold at  Wal-Mart in a sustainable way, or have clear goals to get to be sustainable (or at least more eco-friendly) in a certain number of years. They are also moving towards a goal of producing zero waste.

So, rest assured when you shop at Wal-Mart, you are supporting responsible business practice.

  1. Wow! Thank you! I continually needed to write on my website something like that. Can I implement a portion of your post to my blog?

Thoughts?
